    Tests on hip endoprostheses are performed both as fatigue tests on the stems and as combined compression/torsion tests with ball cups. DYNA-MESS offers the DYNA-EndoWear machine especially for testing hip implants.

    For standardised tests, both appropriate clamping devices and adapters for load application are available, which allow the prosthesis mounted at an angle to be loaded without transverse forces. In addition, corresponding basins with media preparation and various accessory holders are available to enable further tests (tensile tests, bending tests, etc.).

    For the dynamic testing of bone cement, standardised test specimens are tested in bending tests.

    Dynamic fatigue test for endosseous dental implants (DIN EN ISO 14801)

    ISO 14801 “Dentistry – Implants – Dynamic fatigue testing for endosseous dental implants” describes the test setup, test execution and evaluation for single-post endosseous implants. These can be both titanium implants and all-ceramic implants.

    Testing of dental materials

    Dental materials are tested both on standardised material samples and on finished prostheses. Servo-pneumatic and servo-electric testing machines from DYNA-MESS have been used successfully for this purpose since 1992. Starting from the university research sector, today the leading manufacturers of dental materials and implants also use DYNA-MESS testing machines to determine the fatigue strength of their products.

    Chewing simulation tests enable the durability of dental crowns and implant bodies, among other things, to be assessed. Chewing movements are realistically simulated using three electric axes, including testing in medium and under temperature conditions.
