    DYNA-MESS test portals are available in various sizes and designs. They can be customised for a wide range of testing tasks. T-slot plates are used to secure the test specimen. In larger versions, electrical gantry movements enable testing in the x, y and z directions. Multi-axis tests can also be realised.

    Laboratory testing and series testing

    On the one hand, the test benches can be designed as testing machines for individual tests in research and development or for quality testing during production. On the other hand, production-integrated test stations (DYNA-ElastoTest) are also possible, which are equipped with appropriate feed systems for the test specimens (engine mounts, chassis mounts, etc.) and standardised interfaces for communication with the production line.

    Cost-effective servopneumatics, powerful servohydraulics and flexible servoelectrics

    Depending on the test requirements (test force, frequency, stroke), the systems are designed as servo-pneumatic, servo-hydraulic or servo-electrically controlled testing machines. The more cost-effective servo-pneumatic systems can be used at frequencies of up to approx. 35 Hz. Servo-hydraulic systems are used for test specifications up to several hundred hertz test frequency. Energy-efficient, low-maintenance and low-noise servo-electric systems are used for tests up to 150 Hz.

    In contrast to component and part testing, materials are generally tested on standardised specimens. A classic example of this are tensile tests on metallic specimens in accordance with EN 6892.


    In quasi-static tests – often referred to as “static tests” – the load is applied so slowly that dynamic effects do not play a role. Typical results of quasi-static tests are, for example

    Dynamic tests

    In dynamic tests, a – usually cyclical – load is applied with a corresponding test frequency. These can be threshold load tests in the tensile or compression range as well as alternating load tests with tensile and compression components.

    Individual testing and endurance testing


    While the static and dynamic characteristic values of the materials are determined in individual tests, the long-term behaviour under dynamic load is examined as part of endurance tests. The continuous data recording of the DYNA-MESS testing software documents both the running-in effects at the start of the test and the change in the test specimen during the test period.

    Application example: Screws up to M 72

    Fasteners used in wind power technology, for example, place high demands on testing technology. Bolts with a size of up to M 72 can be loaded with forces in the meganewton range and pulled until they break. The testing software ensures that a tensile test is carried out in accordance with EN 6892, in which all parameters such as modulus of elasticity, tensile strength, yield strength, etc. are determined.

    Test frame

    The machine frames are designed as a 2- or 4-column construction and are characterised by maximum machine rigidity. They are therefore ideally suited for static and, in particular, dynamic tests.

    Drive types

    The most suitable drive types are used depending on the individual testing requirements of our customers. In addition to the desired nominal force and the required dynamics, aspects such as component behaviour and ambient conditions also determine the selection of the right drive.


    Performance capability

    With servo-pneumatic, servo-electric or servo-hydraulic drive concepts, we cover a wide range of requirements. The nominal forces range from 10 kN to several meganewtons.

    In addition to the machines for purely static testing, variants for low cycle fatigue tests (LCF) for test frequencies up to 10 Hz and for high cycle fatigue tests (HCF) for test frequencies up to 100 Hz are available.

    A special version for high-frequency tests is the V2H 10 HCF+ version, which enables tests with frequencies of up to 500 Hz.

    Tension Torsion version

    Tension Torsion describes a combined test specimen load from a linear drive and torsion unit.
    Two different configurations are possible:

    • Biaxial test specimen load from one side
    • Biaxial test specimen load from different sides (one axis in the crosshead and one axis in the machine base)

    Electric, pneumatic and hydraulic versions are available.
